Kite surfing is an exciting sport in which the rider uses a power kite to get a significant pull across water surface with kite board and other equipment. Experienced rider may perform turning, controlled flying, jumping and many other techniques.
Kite sizes depend on various factors like rider’s weight, wind strength, board size etc. One must pay attention to weather condition before kite surfing. Cross shore and cross on shore winds are preferred for comfortable and safe kite surfing. Any location that has a consistent and large water body can be used for kite surfing.
There are certain restricted areas where kite surfing may prove dangerous. Thus safety measures need to be taken before sporting. Crowded areas should be avoided. Places where rocks, shallow water, trees are there should be avoided too. It is advised to carry a knife to cut tangles lines in case of emergency. A rider must maintain an adequate clearance while riding with other riders to avoid accidents.
Kitesurfing
Based on wind volume, the board size is determined. In light wind, kites are very difficult to manage and hence a large board is needed. This sport is quite expensive but at the same time very exciting when compared to other sports.
Kahoona kite is advisable for beginners as it is ultra stable in air, easy to fly and most commonly used by kite schools. Wake boards with length equal to shoulder height, are used for kite surfing.
Kitesurfing comprises a list of equipments to be taken by the rider. Equipments are power kite, flying lines, control bar, kite harness, wet suit, kite board, helmet, safety hook knife, personal floatation device, board leash, impact vest, signalling devices, GPS and buddy. A pump to pump the kite is often forgotten by riders though it being most important equipment.

is the interest of present generation and develops an eagerness to experience the sport in future generations. kite surfing has become a new trend among youngsters.
